Leticia Britos Cavagnaro

Designer | Dots Connector

Leticia is a scientist turned designer. Venturing outside of the biology lab, she found that designing learning experiences was even more rewarding than designing new forms of life. She is the co-founder and co-Director of University Innovation Fellows, a program of the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school), which empowers students at over 350 universities to be co-designers of their education. She teaches Stanford students of all disciplines, as well as corporate and nonprofit leaders, how to build their creative confidence to become engines of innovation in teams and organizations. Leticia has a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Stanford's School of Medicine, and is a former member of the Research in Education & Design Lab (REDlab) at Stanford’s School of Education. She has consulted with companies like Google, Citrix, and Microsoft. If she were granted a wish, she would bring her home country of Uruguay a tad closer to San Francisco, California, where she lives with her husband. A teleporter to go back and forth in an instant would do too.
